This week the wonderful people of Denver got a delightful taste of Louisiana, and we were honored to be a part of it.
Thanks to Louisiana Culinary Trails, part of Louisiana Travel, we joined ten other chefs from around the state in the Mile High City for Louisiana Meets the Rockies - an evening brimming with music, specialty drinks, and culinary delights featuring fresh Louisiana seafood.
We decided to put a twist on our popular Stuffed Mushroom appetizer, creating a Blue Crab and Shrimp Stuffed Mushroom in a Pesto Cream.
Chef David flew in on Tuesday for a meet-and-greet with the other chefs. Then, bright and early the next morning, he was at the prep kitchen, preparing 500 portions of mushrooms for the main event on Wednesday night. It was a whirlwind trip, but one for the memory books. Kudos to Chef David for a job well done – he proudly represented Louisiana and Lafayette.
