FROM THE OWNERS

Greetings, friends!

Another weekend is here, and somehow, it’s already March 2026 - say it isn’t so!

The year may be sprinting ahead, but the good news is we’re about to gain extra daylight. That’s extra sunshine for one more drink on the patio, one more bite of dessert, and one more song drifting from the Blu Room as you cool down from the day’s race—literal or otherwise. We’ve added fresh color to the patio too, a little ā€œspring

trainingā€ for the space as we welcome the new season.

This weekend’s menu is hitting its stride with bright, fresh flavors. We’re serving blackened fresh redfish on the half‑shell, cooked with the bottom skin on so you can scoop each bite right down to the finish line. Chef Kanen’s Creole butter keeps the pace with Italian seasoning, paprika, garlic, onion, bell pepper, and classic boiling spices. A charred lemon and a crisp salad of shaved fennel and arugula bring the dish home—light, vibrant, and perfect for a spring weekend. And with a low‑carb entrĆ©e like this, you’ll have plenty of room to ā€œcarb‑loadā€ at the end with our baked apple cobbler, the cozy blend of winter warmth and spring energy.

To all the runners gearing up for the Zydeco Marathon this weekend, we’re cheering you on! We’re honored that the Oil Center is featured prominently along Sunday's course. If you’re racing and joining us for a pre-run dinner, feel free to boost your mileage with some extra energy: our Cacio e Pepe side made with capellini, cracked black pepper, and Pecorino Romano.

Whether you’re running 26.2, cheering from the sidelines, or simply pacing yourself into a relaxing weekend, we’ll be here to keep you fueled, refreshed, and ready for whatever’s next.

We’ll see you when you get here!
