Knock, knock friends! Who's there, you ask? Why, it's Orange! Orange Who? ....
Orange You Glad it's the weekend?
The kids are back in school, that chaotic first week is in the rear view, and we have a

refreshing weekend meal to help you leave it firmly in the past. Made with Cointreau, bitters, citrus juices and your choice of whiskey, with just a splash of soda for a fizzy kick, Nic's "Orange You Glad" drink has the right blend of power and subtlety to set the tone for a relaxing couple of days. Made in conjunction with our dessert of the month, this libation will be available all through the month of August.
Speaking of desserts, stop in soon to try our latest creation, Brandi's Orange Upside-Down Cake. You can't pack more orange into this cake, from the orange infused cake to the orange pastry cream and finally the pressed orange and cherry on top. It's been a crowd pleaser among our guests so far this month, and we highly recommend it with a cup of coffee in the afternoon for, shall we say, an after-school treat?
Even though technically summer is over for most, we are all still marinating in the dog days of summer heat. Perhaps that was the subliminal intention behind our special dish this weekend, Grilled Branzino with Zucchine alla Scapece and Whipped Ricotta. Scapece means "marinated" Italian, and this dish is just what you need for a hot summer weekend meal. The zucchini medallions are marinated in white vinegar, garlic and mint, then roasted, for a bright burst of flavor that pairs deliciously with the creamy whipped ricotta. Add to that the branzino, or Mediterranean seabass, which is a mild-flavored fish that is an easy protein on the palate. You won't be disappointed in this delightful summer creation.
The mid-day is always a good time to visit if you'd like to miss the hustle and bustle of peak times. Recently we began offering special "happy hour" deals on Tuesdays between 2pm and 4pm, featuring 2-for-1 domestic beers as well as Chianti and Pinot Grigio wine by the glass. As we continue to workshop this fun new addition, be on the lookout for expanded days and even a discounted menu between those special hours.
Just because the summer is over (with the exception of the heat), that doesn't mean the fun has to be as well. Book your table with us and come see some friendly faces! We're waiting for you to fill us in on whatever the beginning weeks of school looks like for you.
We'll see you when you get here!
