FROM THE OWNERS

Hippity, hoppity...here we are!

Easter weekend is upon us, and all those Lenten sacrifices are about to be celebrated, and deliciously rewarded. Though we're looking at some rainy weather forecasted for the weekend, that isn't keeping us from embracing the "clam" before the storm.

Our linguine alla vongole - pronounced vahn-gohl - is a departure from the classic garlic, white wine and clams. This one features paprika and chilis to offer a zesty tomato-based sauce with an emphasis on smoke and heat. Try it with our Sassoregale Vermentino for an extra special taste adventure.

Not sure about Vermentino? Well we've spoken about it a lot in our emails, but I don't remember the last time we talked about why it's so special. Vermentino is an Italian grape varietal that thrives in coastal areas. Sea breezes sweep over the vineyards, giving the grape a natural saline quality and making it an excellent pairing for all things seafood. As they say in wine pairing primers, if it "grows" together, it goes together, so vermentino and coastal cuisine are a perfect match.

If you're more of a red wine fan, give La Crema Pinot Noir a try. We've long offered only one Pinot Noir by the glass, a delicious Oregon selection from Willamette Valley called Inscription. But this weekend, we're offering the additional option of La Crema's 2023 Monterey Pinot Noir. Boasting flavors of raspberry and spice, this wine received a score of 94 in Wine Enthusiast! We are excited for you to take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy this time-tested brand in our dining room.

It's a weekend to celebrate with family and friends, and what better occasion than to share a meal together at Antoni's? Remember that we know open at 3pm on Saturdays for early dinners and mis-afternoon snacks.

We'll see you when you get here!
