๐ Have you been enjoying the Olympic games as much as we have?
Whatโs your favorite moment so far? While gymnastics, swimming, and diving are always crowd-pleasers, letโs not forget the thrill of Canoe Slalom (๐ฅ) and the incredible performances by the US Womenโs Fencing (๐ฅ) and Rugby (๐ฅ) Teams, as well as Menโs Four-Person Rowing (๐ฅ)! Itโs truly inspiring to witness these athletes making history and nations coming together in the spirit of competition. ๐๐
Speaking of remarkable feats, our resident monarch caterpillar completed its metamorphosis this week, emerging like a track star in the final stretch. Although we missed the front-row seat, we wish it well on its new journey as a butterfly! ๐โโ๏ธ๐ฆ
Now, letโs dive into this weekendโs special. Itโs all-around goldโฆliterally! ๐ฅ Our fresh flounder fillet is wrapped around the cheesiest, most delicious stuffing made with ricotta, cream cheese, Asiago, and Parmesan. If that sounds a bit heavy after a week of heat advisories, fear not! Itโs nestled on a bed of capellini with lightly sautรฉed fresh tomatoes, lemon zest, parsley, and a touch of garlic oil, making it hearty but not overly so. ๐๐
And donโt think we forgot about dessert! ๐จ This month, weโre channeling summer refreshment with a special ice cream inspired by the classic Italian sweet - Cannoli. Our cannoli ice cream is packed with all the traditional ingredients, just in ice cream form! For a boozier ending to your meal, try our Cannoli Martini, made with Van Gogh Dutch Chocolate Vodka, Frangelico, and a touch of cream and cinnamon, rimmed with chocolate and pistachios. ๐ฆ๐ธ
The heat is on this weekend, and there may be a spirit of competition for reservations with events like UL Summer Commencement and an event at the Heymann Center on Friday evening. Remember, we save some space for walk-ins, and our Blu Room offers a delightful waiting area with live jazz both nights this weekend. ๐ท๐ถ Youโll also notice a new development when calling the restaurant, as weโre trying something new to better handle the volume of phone calls we receive.
